The tax & business office handles all monetary transactions for the county, including the accounts receivable, accounts payable and investment functions. Property taxes, the main source of revenue for the taxing districts are collected and used to fund the county, cities, schools, etc. Payment of property taxes by credit card is available through the Official Payments website (see link) or by calling 1-800-2PAYTAX. At prompt, enter Jurisdiction Code 4403. This office pays all the county’s bills & handles the delinquent property tax proceedings.
